What actually happens when you reach out to us
Reaching out is hard enough. You shouldn't also have to wonder what happens next, so here is the whole process, step by step.
1. You send a message
You can write to us from the anonymous form on our website, which opens WhatsApp with your message ready, or come up to us at any event. You don't need to give your name.
2. A real person replies
Someone on our team reads your message and replies, usually within a day. No bots. We listen first, and we might ask a few gentle questions to understand what is going on. You can stop at any point.
3. We figure out what would help
Depending on what you share, that might be joining one of our monthly conversations, talking with someone who has been through something similar, resources for your family, or simply someone to check in with you.
4. You're connected with people who understand
Many of the people in our community have lived through addiction or mental health struggles. Some are fully in recovery and some are still on the journey. They won't judge you, and they will tell you honestly what helped them.
5. We're honest about professional help
We're a community, not a clinic. If what you're going through needs a doctor, therapist or other professional, we'll tell you so, and encourage you to get that help while we keep supporting you.
What we will never do
- Share your details without your permission
- Pressure you or your family into anything
- Shame you for what you're going through
If you have a question about any of this, just ask.
If this felt familiar
You don't need to have it all figured out. Send us a message, anonymously if you like, and a real person will reply.
